Optometrist
Cristine j. areola, od
Dr. Areola grew up in Belleville, NJ and attended Montclair State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She graduated from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2023 and has been serving the Roselle Park community alongside Dr. Michael Friedman, OMD until his retirement in April 2024. Her special interests include dry eye treatment, glaucoma managment and pediatric care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Areola is an avid gym goer and enjoys competing in volleyball leagues and traveling abroad. She has three cats at home.
Shaina
Technician
Shaina was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to NJ at the age of 12. Shaina enjoys unwinding with movies, music and indulging in the art of writing. Writing has always been a way to connect with thoughts, ideas and experiences and it remains one of on her favorite hobbies. She takes great pride in working as a tech and supporting the team and helping patients receive the best care possible. Mocha is her dog who adds joy and companionship to her daily life.

Leslie is a dedicated mother, wife, and compassionate worker with over 10 years of experience in the eye care field. She balances the responsibilities of raising a family with providing excellent care and support to the patients at her job. Her role in the healthcare field allows her to combine her passion for helping others with her drive for continuous learning and growth. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and church.

Diego is an ophthalmology student based in Florida with a strong passion for eye health and vision care. Dedicated to advancing his knowledge in the field, he is committed to making a positive impact on patients’ lives through research, learning, and clinical practice.
Outside of his studies, he enjoys exploring the outdoors and pursuing creative hobbies such as reading and cooking. He values balancing his academic pursuits with meaningful personal growth and relaxation.
